Congress 2026

Bringing together industry leaders, policy makers, partners & innovators to explore the trends shaping the milling sector

4-6 June 2026 in Marseille (France)

The 2026 edition of the European Flour Millers' Congress took place in Marseille, at the invitation of the French flour milling association (ANMF) for the French millers.

European Commissioner Hansen opened the conference session, setting an inspiring vision for the future of Europe’s agri-food chain and the strategic role of the flour milling sector in supporting food security, competitiveness and sustainability.

The conference session featured a range of informative and engaging presentations, discussions and networking opportunities in a relaxed setting designed to help delegates better understand the current state of the industry, anticipate changes while remaining competitive, and to explore ways to ensure its continued sustainability and growth in times of crisis.

Delegates also explored a curated innovation pathway showcasing five cutting-edge solutions shaping the future of flour milling. These included advanced cereal sorting using NIR-T technology (BoMill), low-carbon disinfestation processes (Demmos), bacteriophage-based grain protection (Lesaffre), residue-free ozone bio-decontamination (IDR Groupe), and broader field-to-mill initiatives led by Intercéréales and Arvalis.Together, these innovations highlighted practical, scalable approaches to improve grain quality, safety and sustainability across the value chain.
